Summer Camp 2017 - Modern Vikings

Interested in Viking age and modern time you must come to this camp.
Meet the Vikings´Country Denmark - the oldest Kingdom in the World. A campus showing the Viking Age where you’ll travel through Viking history to the present time of modern technology and culture.

During the two weeks you get in contact with modern Vikings – Danes who are working with and solving environmental issues like energy, reuse waste and create a community in balance. During the stay you will see modern companies producing and using modern technology. You get insight to Danish culture by meeting people involved in cultural activities in the Frederikssund area.

You will stay at private homes meeting a family and learn daily Danish family life and being together at a group for events.

You will also see a world famous viking play – an outdoor show. Every summer the Frederikssund citizens step forward as true vikings, when both adults and children pull on their viking costumes and perform the annual viking play.

When the darkness falls, the stories from the Nordic mythology are told live on the open-air stage, you can't help but imagine how the vikings traded, lived and sailed on Roskilde Fjord.
