English (basic knowledge is neccesary)


Salzkammergut the mountainous part and lake district of Upper Austria


We stay mostly in youth hostels, only on the first and the last day you stay with Rotarian families.


Transportation from and to the nearest airport (mostly Vienna Airport) to Linz Main Train station. 200€ Campfee. Personal Pocketmoney.


We will have 4 days of biking (day 2,3,7,9) about 50-60 km using mainly biking paths.The other days we will hike in the mountains, have the oppor-tunity to swim in mountain lakes and have a look in caves nearby. The weather will be no obstacle.


Participant is obliged to pay 31.- € on arrival for insurance against illness and acci-dents, including transport home if this should be necessary – or show a certificate of his/her local insurance company in English or German, which clearly states equiva-lence of insurance coverage. In case of any doubt, the organizers are obliged to demand payment of the 31.- € insurance fee!

Acceptation will be made strictly in order of arrival of applications! No pre-reservations accepted without full application form. The decision about acceptance or refusal of the candidate is strictly within the responsibility of the organising club(s). The organising club(s) will inform applicants about their decision as soon as possible.

Special remarks:

Participants should be able to swim well and also should be in good physi-cal condition ! There will be no accompaigning vehicle.Every member of the group must be able to bike 5 hours during a day, that means not (!)with-out any brake but from morning untill evening. Also everybodymust be able to hike 2-3 hours in on direction and than home again !
